Custom Furniture -
Custom furniture is a great way to tackle a situation where it is nearly impossible to find a furniture piece that will be the right solution for a space. Rooms that are oddly shaped are a perfect example of a space that might need a custom piece, the beauty of this is that the design decisions can be made by you, for you. The detailed specifications of this piece can be exactly what you need for storage, art, entertainment or whatever the needed solution is.
Custom Master Suite Kitchenette-
A couple wanted a bit of privacy in their home of a growing family and decided they would love to have a kitchenette added to their master suite for morning rituals before they emerged into their busy life. So, Blend Interior Design Studio came up with a design specifying warm gray cabinetry integrated with a microwave and a small refrigerator to house the morning necessities. Additional cabinets were incorporated for abundant storage, ensuring functionality without compromising aesthetics. To make it feel a bit more elegant Blend Interior Design Studio added a stone herringbone backsplash and under cabinet lighting. The result is this beautiful kitchenette that fits wonderfully in the master suite and is tailored to make the lives of our clients more pleasant.
Cool City Condo Murphy Bed -
This custom murphy bed was created as a solution for a multi-purpose space.
The room needed a sleeping option for guests as well as space to be used as a home office. The goal of the murphy bed was to create a piece that was aesthetically pleasing when open or closed. When closed the look we were inspiring to achieve was an attractive built-in wardrobe. The bed was designed in a shaker style with detailed molding complimented with a cool light gray paint finish and nickel hardware.

Art Deco Bar & Built-In Media Cabinet -
The custom bar cabinet and built in media cabinet were a solution to a lack of storage and a weird tv niche in this downtown condo space. Made from beautiful mahogany wood, Blend Interior Design Studio designed the pieces to have an Art Deco feel. Silver inlay creates a decorative design that swoops across the piece for a classic finish. We chose crystal knobs to finish the art deco theme on the furnishings, both stunning pieces.

Urban Heritage
Seattle Residence, Blend Interior Design Studio embarked on a mission to reimagine a living/dining area, ingeniously integrating a TV without overshadowing the room's ambiance. The challenge lay in harmonizing the client's traditional tastes with the contemporary setting of the space. The centerpiece of the transformation was a custom built-in cabinetry solution, elegantly crafted with a dark gray finish and a door style that seamlessly bridged the gap between tradition and modernity, harmonizing with the adjacent kitchen cabinetry. To infuse visual interest, textured grass cloth wallpaper was installed within the cabinet's interior. Addressing additional requirements, such as providing a serene spot for contemplation and a designated space for the client's cherished cocktail collection, Blend Interior Design Studio crafted a custom settee upholstered in lustrous light blue velvet with traditional legs. For the dry bar, an antique cabinet was repurposed and finished with a marble top, resulting in a fusion of elements that elevated the space to new heights of sophistication. Through this meticulous curation of a design plan, the Olive 8 Seattle Residence was transformed into a harmonious sanctuary where traditional elegance seamlessly coexists with contemporary flair, offering both comfort and visual delight to its inhabitants.
Textural Trends
In the sophisticated high-rise of the Escala downtown Seattle residence, the foyer presented an opportunity to introduce striking design elements. With the client’s desire for an inviting space with a somewhat moody feel that offered a storage solution, Blend Interior Design Studio set out to fulfill the clients' vision. A layout was devised, seamlessly integrating the clients' needs. A custom upholstered bench took center stage, equipped with drawers to stow shoes, while providing a comfortable spot for their removal. Crafted from square tufted velvet and boasting a high back reminiscent of luxurious booths, the bench exuded an inviting feel. To enhance the ambiance further, navy blue grass cloth wallpaper was added to the walls, infusing the foyer with rich texture. Lighting played a pivotal role in amplifying the dramatic atmosphere, with contemporary sconces casting a soft glow above the bench, and a captivating bubble chandelier overhead in the center of the foyer. The final touches elevated the space to new heights of sophistication—a sleek industrial round mirror was added to one wall, while an entry table stood beneath the chandelier in the center covered with large orchids. What was once an empty foyer devoid of color transformed into a captivating, dark, and mysterious space, inviting guests into a world of refined luxury from the moment they stepped inside.
