Blue Suite Haven

Urban Heritage

This Olive 8 Seattle residence was designed for a bachelor in the financial industry for alternative housing in the downtown area. We took his lifestyle and interests at heart and divulged in creating a rich warm "gentleman's den" feel in a space that truly reflected his tastes and personality. In an empty space near the kitchen, we had a custom bar and bookshelf built to utilize the space and add extra storage for the client. Through textures, colors and ingenuity of design, we managed to come up with a perfect design solution for our client.

High-Rise Transition

In this Olive 8 Seattle residence, the client wanted a solution for entertainment, mainly a unit to house a television and a space for a bar.  She wanted something that did not have the television as the focal point of the room but still as visible. Our design program was to create a built-in cabinet that held the television in a bookshelf fashion but art would be the main focus, the result to reflect our clients more traditional tastes but still blend with the existing contemporary architecture of the condo. We added grasscloth to the back of the built-in and lighting to highlight the glass shelves and artwork.  The result was this classic built-in that really centers the room. For a bar area, an antique cabinet was added with storage on the bottom.  A custom settee was added for additional seating next to the dry bar that has a low profile so that it enhances our client's expansive view.

In this Escala downtown Seattle residence, the foyer was the first battle for design. What was an empty foyer, devoid of color, became a rich, dark and mysterious space with accent lighting and built-in seating, complete with storage.  Next, we added a great textural wall of stone, reminiscent of a basket weave, to bring interest to what was a flat long wall. In the master bedroom, striking wallpaper and sheers work together to create a more romantic feel . Meeting the goal of a more spa like feeling for our clients to retreat to after a long day at work.

Blend Interior Design Studio was commissioned to transform this home for a newlywed couple to a functional and bright space fit for a family. Blend i.d.s got to work on creating custom built-in cabinetry for some needed extra storage and ambience for the living room. A new color scheme was selected to brighten the space so that it could withstand the long dark winters of Seattle. Custom blue/ grey window coverings, silver finishes and traditional fun wallpaper in the entry help to complete the look of this classic family home.

In this Escala downtown Seattle residence, we took an empty unfinished space and turned it into a warm and inviting high-rise suite. With the use of golden tones and gray highlights, we achieved a transition into a sophisticated yet alluring space.  The condominium functions wonderfully as a vacation home and is great for entertaining as well as relaxing for our clients.  We kept the furnishings low in profile as to not obscure the amazing cityscape views or the beautiful Puget Sound waterways

Deco Dreamy

In this Escala downtown Seattle residence, we used silver highlights to create a sophisticated, romantic feel.  Clean Art Deco lines and classic furnishings help complete this stunning space. A custom bar cabinet and entertainment cabinet by Mallet finish the mood, adding storage and cohesiveness. In the foyer, we wanted to add design elements that would add interest, our solution was a beautiful porcelain tile wall that can withstand day-to-day events and still look amazing. Unique lighting and a new color palette help to transform this space into a sophisticated timeless home.
